Happy driving...... finally!!!!

Been back for a few weeks now but thought I should post something
After a stressful few days before leaving we finally got on the way from leeds to portsmouth. At the ferry port the car got much attention. A young lad even came running up to ask how fast it goes.
Anyway, headed off to Nantes for a couple of days faffin around and managed to lose myself trying to find the hotel, me doing the 'we're not lost' act and the missus doing the 'let's ask directions' part!!!!
My opinion of french folks has changed after one of the friendly locals got in his car and made us follow him to the hotel
Headed on down to La Rochelle way next and spent the night in a sleepy little town on the coast. While having a beer in the hotel, the cerb got so much attention that the hotel owner offered to let me put the car in his private garage for safekeeping.
Next it was off down to Dune du Pyla for some paragliding and a week on a campsite.
All in I was pleasantly surprised, the car held itself together and despite a couple of small niggles coped with the summer heat.
It was the first big trip since I got the car and look forward to a few more, maybe boarding in the Alps, now where's me chains!!
Then.... back to the UK to scrape the bottom on speed bumps, slam on the brakes to avoid cameras/numpties and fight the afternoon rush hour on the M1!!
