Hi, Can anyone please help me, I have a 94 2.0i Lude. I need to change the drivers side CV joint and boot but don't really know how to go about this?
Can I get one from a scrappies or is it best to get new?

Any help would be great, as I need to get this fixed pronto for MOT!!!

I assume you want to change the outer boot.

its not a difficult job to do at all.

I would buy a new boot as they are not expensive from motorfactors. Dont buy from honda unless you have no choice.

If you have any doubts about the joint then you can get a pattern one for £40 so it might be better to buy a new joint rather than just replace the boot.

Rather than explain how to change the boot on the forum you should download the service manual from the below link. If you have any questions post back.

You dont HAVE to remove the driveshaft from the box to change the boot, you can leave it on the car. But if you didnt change your transmition fluid for a whyle then you may as well take the entire driveshaft off and it will make the job much easyer.
Be carefull not to damage the oil seal between the driveshaft and the gearbox, I damaged one of mine and I had to take everything appart again to replace the seal.. very annoying.

Good luck.
