Evenin all,

a quick question about bike covers. at home i can store the bike under cover, but when parked up at work, it's left outdoors. My question is if it's been raining on the way to work and i put a bike cover on whilst the bike is still soaked and the engine is hot, will that speed up corrosion or will the bike just dry off under the cover and not rust to pieces?

Going to give the bike a good clean this weekend and put some ACF50 on it. do i put it on all the metalwork or are there any bits that i shouldn't put it on? i put it on another bike a few months ago and it started smoking and burning when the bike got hot. stopped after a while, presumably where it had all burned off.

TIA

most bike covers are breathable to allow for putting it away when wet. ride magazine had a review of a few not too long ago.
