Crashed into on my way home.

Here's the problem. On my way home Monday night 6.30 dry road. Gonig past a car who decided he was going to pull out of a single line of trafic to turn right at a roundabout, unfortunatlly he did'nt see me and rang straight into my side spearing me into the other side of the road and into a metal fence. So the ambulance arrives as does the police, and while I am being looked after (blood pressure 210) the police take statments. It turns out he admitted fault and this was backed up by two witness. Now for the rub, I had just completed a special one off paint job (the paint was £950 a litre), with sports exhaust and several other none standard parts. The bike need a new front panel set along with the exhaust, as I had only just finnished the project i had'nt informeb Bennets of the changes. Do you think they will return the bike as it was, or will they just fit the original parts in there standard form.
Sorry for the long post, but having spent all that time and money, I really want my bike back.

I'm near to that area, sorry to hear about this Mind me asking where it was?
The most important thing is that you are in one piece
My experience of insurance companies is that they will tend to find a way out of paying a claim if they can - not telling them about the paintwork will give them ammo. Having said that, most reasonable people would, I assume, say that the paintwork change would not have been a contributing factor to the accident (unless you went from hi-viz yellow to black!).
As you haven't told them about the paint, I imagine they will only pay for the repairs to return it to standard.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - I very much hope that I am wrong!

It'll be paid for by the other persons insurers, not yours. As long as you have receipts (although the paintjob will act as proof I suppose) you can claim what it would cost you put your bike in the same condition as before the accident.
That is true. Might be worth getting a decent accident management company (Anniesdad?) in on the case; and don't forget it's your vehicle, you have the choice of where it is repaired. The other insurance company will try to get you to use their "approved" repairer - resist!J H 500 said:
This is realy helpfull, so thank you. Does anyone have the number for Anniesdad. I did speake to Bennetts who said they would get back to me within three hours, that was three days ago and as yet no contact.

erm hang on a min though. surely your insurance doesnt matter as you will be claiming off the third party? if someone else hit you and has admitted liability then their cover will payout not yours..
you want full restoration of the bike as was...
Graham, you're right mate. I had automatically assumed the claim would be on the OP's insurance, which clearly it won't be. you want full restoration of the bike as was...
Good to hear you're OK after your spill, and that the driver has admitted fault - should avoid a long settlement time.
On the subject of your insurance though - if you managed to take pics of your bike in the daytime and had the spill soon after you'd had the paintwork done at 6.30pm (dusk-ish), and the bike must have been in the shop for a couple of days, surely you had 10mins to phone Bennetts. I know it's one of these things that people always put off doing, but if I was paying £950 a litre for paint I'd want to make sure it's protected BEFORE I ride away!

owch, bad news for the paint job :/ i wouldnt like to be paying out for that again.
but then again, if i scuffed the painjob or fairing i prolly wouldnt bother getting it repaired, for
1] cba
2] costs money when it does they job with a scratch
3] looks like a bit of a snotter and people might not want to nick it compaired to a nice an shiney bike with complete fairings and paint
