When I got my first bike, one of the lads where I worked decided it would be funny to turn off my petrol tap. I got about 1/2 mile down the road before the carbs ran out of juice which got me a little alarmed as it was brand new & I had no idea what the problem was...luckily the 'offender' set off a few minutes behind me (knowing what would happen) & arrived to 'fix' the problem. I don't remember finding it that funny at the time
Congrats, there are many 'firsts' to be had with a bike as I'm sure we all know
I was suprised how quickly 70 mph started to feel like 30 mph though, seeing as my CBT 40 mph blast felt like 150!
I did around 90 miles last night on my 125, left home around midnight and got home around 3.30am ish (just for kicks)
I rode down towards the coast and back and had several firsts..
1)Numerous rabbits tried to kill themselves in front of me
2)Pitch black roads and extremely dense fog! (combined with temp changes, this played havoc with the visor and mirrors)
3)Got overtaken in a narrow and dark 40 MPH zone country lane, by a Dutch articulated truck! (tosser)
4)Due to new trousers and possibly my excessive pre-load adjustment on shock, my arse ached a bit (or may have been that I didn't stop once for the whole 3.5 hour ride)
5)Lent the bike over enough to catch my foot and foot peg!
