Sadly no pictures tonight but being a student and having a spare tenner felt wrong so I nipped to the butchers on the way home and picked up a nice chunk of sirloin. Tossed some chopped mushroom, couple of cloves of crushed garlic and diced onion in a pan and softened the lot. Added a big glug of single cream and let it reduce down.

Steak in a sizzling hot pan with some italian herbs on top and cooked until medium rare then left to rest. Stuck the whole lot on a plate and wolfed the lot with some fresh crusty baguette.

I'd run out of money by desert time so a bit of creative thinking meant a bowl of broken up Jaffa cakes with what was left of the single cream poured over the top. hehe

Om nom nom.

thanks, that really is appreciated smile
2 months ago i had never cooked a thing, and now from no where i really love it.
it annoys me a litle that i know nothing so have to keep asking stupid questions, but slowly getting the hang of things. daft as it is, i was over the moon with the chps tonight. never made my own chips, so after abit of internet searching, went down the route of pre boilng, then double fried them.
hate to sound big headed, but can't believe how nice they tasted smile
roll on tomorrow, slow cooked brisket.
thanks again.
