Yep, that was my reaction initially.
Funnily enough, it didn't overpower the dish. Although I will be keeping a safe distance from people today. Just as a precaution!

Spaghetti bake... Tasty and perfect dark rainy evening food. Hate the fact that winter is setting in, but at least it's nearly ski time!

Well my hob packed up tonight and without having an oven to start with, that left me with a toaster and a microwave. Dinner tonight (if it can be called that) is a Uncle Bens Noodle Time with a can of Strongbow pear stuff. Not even close to om nom nom.

I wouldn't describe it as cheap, cheap, but it was €8. Says on the back that the vineyard started production in 1999 so Peter got it right! Was very mellow without any bitterness from the tannins. I go to the local wine shop and ask him for a mix of stuff for a certain price and then mentally note down what I like in terms of region and grape etc. It's easier like that rather than becoming a t t about wine. Either you like it or you don't. If it costs €3 it doesn't make a difference to me as long as I like it. Normally all of the selections this guy makes are good and minimum price per bottle is around €6 which in France buys you an excellent bottle of wine.
