As the title really, is commuting into Oxford city centre from the west (A40) a viable prospect by bike? Does anyone do it now and can offer experiences on parking etc and whether it's a better idea to just get the P&R?

Trouble is i fear that may be the easy bit! City council's website isn't exactly forthcoming on bike parking and positively MI5-esque about charges.

Big BMW bike dealer on the way is a plus point though.
