Never had this before (or never noticed) but just as I fired her up, the MIL light flashed & beeped twice.

Not sure if the MIL is meant to beep but I’m sure it did. Everything looked cool though, no noticeable probs.

Any ideas peeps?
Probably nothing to worry about.

Have just changed back to Optimax after having a couple of fills of 95.

As your TVR is 2001, you could try one of these ECU code readers:

www.gendandirect.co.uk/viewproduct.php?product=CREADOBD

I bought one for my Jaguar and it has come in useful many times.

(I am hoping to buy a Cerbera, hence on this forum)

Mine used to flash for about 1 second about 1 min into any journey. I never got to the bottom of why it was doing it but it didn't matter if I left it idle for 1 min or drove for 1 min. Has stopped by itself now.

The MIL light flashing is NOT normal. It should only come on with the ignition (and then go off when you fire the engine).

The dealer can find out what is wrong with their code reader.

Don't accept the TADS explanation. Mine did this once, came on very briefly at odd occasions, turned out to be a dodgy connection to one of the lambda sensors.
