I just thought I'd share with you the great blat I had today. Lovely cold, crisp, sunny weather and surprisingly empty roads. We went from Bath up the A46 to Gloucester, across to Monmouth through the Forest of Dean (A40 & A4136), then over to Abergavenny on the B4233 (great road, lots of overtaking opportunities) for lunch.

After a great fish and chips, it was along the A40 to Crickhowell, over the river and onto the B4558 and over the hills to Beaufort on the B4560. One of my favourite roads. A mix of tight corners and flowing moorland road, just superb, engine singing in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, surging between corners, overtaking in the blink of an eye, what 7 ownership is all about.

The route home was back to Abergavenny along the A465 then the B4598 to Usk, the B4235 to Chepstow (another superb pair of roads) and finally the M48 & M4 back to Bath.

Sounds like a complete blast. I on the other hand am sitting on a platform in the north sea in crap weather on nightshift. But I suppose that is what pays for the toys.

regards,

Steve.

I think you showed me a couple of those roads years ago Dave. Still great!
