aarchhhh my heating controls are blocked!!!!

Last week it was getting colder and I tried to get some warmth into my car. Unluckily I couldn't get any movement into the lower control!
Does anyone know how that @#$%** thing can be repaired before I tear it of?

if its the hot/cold slider its connected via a cable to the valve at the back drivers side of the engine bay,could be the slider is stuck,slip sill can help this, or the valve itself is stuck you may have to free it by hand but watch for leaks after as they can leak from the spindle.
