boot won't open

Hope someone can help - boot won't open - I can hear a clicking sound when the button is pressed but the catch doesn't release - any one had this before ?
I've searched on previous threads and have seen that there is a "secret" way to open the boot to get at the workings to try & rectify this problem - can anyone email me offline with details ?

And I think I can tell you what's happened as it happened to me too. The piece of wire that connects the lock to the door button actuator cable has snapped.

Unless you have enough wire left to make a new loop and reconnect you'll need a new lock, quite cheap, fit yourself job although fiddly as hell to get it to go into it's slot. Think square peg and round hole

Problem sorted - thanks for your help everyone.
The wire had snapped between the solenoid & the lock mechanism - luckily it had snapped at the end right by the solenoid, so easy enough to remove, bend the end again & re-fit.
