Hi guys...Unbelivable, I can't find the battery on my 1994 540i. I have to assume it located under the rear seat which I can't seem to remove.
Also, I have to replace the heater core. How big a nightmare is that project??
I'm going out to the shop to work on my Lotus....Soooo much easier.
Thanks for the help
Dave

It's an e34? Yep it's under the rear seat base. You tug up sharply on the front edge of it and it will clip out. They're probably a bit stiff if they've not been moved for a bit so it'll be a two hands job.

Don't know about the heater core, sorry!

Yep Battery is under the rear seat on the drivers side its a big bugger though so go easy when you try and get it out.... as for the heater core you have to take out the dash and everything inbetween as the the core is located on the bulkhead, if you are contenplating doing it youself you need to get a bently manual they are worth their weight in gold unlike haynes crap .....
