After driving the Griff last night, apart from a dodgy noise under the bonnet I noticed that the brakes were starting to make a grating noise under heavy braking so sounds like they could need replacing.

I was just wondering what you'd all recommend basically? I'm not planning on taking it on any track days again but as this is the first time they've needed replacing, and this being my first TVR, I'd like to know your recommendations and costs involved if possible?

BTW the calipers are standard but the previous owner very kindly fitted brand new cross drilled discs all round just before I bought it, which was nice!

Many thanks - Chris

Decent fast road pads, and follow the instructions to bed them in properly. If you're getting them fitted at a dealer, they'll supply them. If you're fitting them yourself, you can buy through a dealer or get them yourself for more hassle and less money. I recommend Tarox XF or DS2000 if you're after a recommendation for pad compound, but there are plenty of good alternatives. There have been quite a few threads about whats involved in changing pads and it's an easy DIY as long as you're aware of the gotchas.
