Thinking of getting one for the wife, so whats the actual real world mpg like? Probably be an 05/06 plate. She has a 40 mile commute (motorway and/or A roads) and she now feels the suspension on the cupra pd is getting a bit harsh (wimmen!). Showed her a 7 series and she quite liked it. Was thinking something like this

I would expect late 20s, maybe 30mpg.

FYI, there are 06's on BMW AUC site with a lot less miles on them for as little as £16995.

I've got a 330d (which is presume is a little lighter than the 7 series?) and I have a 50 mile daily commute on M/ways and A's - I average 35MPG, sometimes as low as 30 and occassionally as high as 39.

Didn't realise they were that cheap now! And I assume thats before a little haggling? Serious conversation will be had with the missus this weekend then. See if she was serious about changing the yellow peril.

Thanks

Yup. I think they're great value. They are well spec'd as is, would be a great buy!
