Hi all,

I've been to a couple of owners club meets, and found them ok, but a bit staid, Just wondered if there were any owners who fancied a meet up, similar to the Virginia water one earlier this year ? I'm based in Solihull, but if there are any takers we could always organise a central location?

Brum is a bit of a trek for me so unless there is something else going on at the time like a trip to Santa Pod I'd be unlikely to make the trip.

We had a discussion about the pros & cons of MX-5 OC about a month ago - see here.
What it amounted to was that it really depends where you are. Some local groups are great (e.g. West London, Eastern etc) others are boring (e.g. South Central). That is the main reason groups such as Nutz, PlanetMX5, Phoenix etc. exist.
Basically, if you don't like your local region either join and attend anyway so you can change it from within, start an alternative group like I did with some others to create PlanetMX5 or try one of the alternatives that already exist wink

I'm in Brum, but my job often involves working evenings and weekends. But I could do something planned a bit in advance. Maybe to tempt some others up we should throw in some karting? (grandprixkarting.com i think)

Did you go to the Pheonix fives in Hockley Heath ?

Its your closest one.

I'm also in Solihull and as my name suggests deal in MX5's and parts, I run an SC'd 5 and regularly go to the P5 meets.

All meets are a bit boring until you get to know the guys especialy this time of yr.

I'm always up for karting smile (I'm not very good at it but it's still fun wink)
Even better if we could combine the Autosport Show + Karting + pub meet in a weekend biggrin

Hi all,

If I take ownership of sorting the karting side of things (Probably in brum or nearby) Do we have any takers? I'm thinking Friday 5th of December?
