I'm considering buying a leon 1.9 tdi 110 or 130 and wandered what your opinion is of them! Cant get a cupra for insurance! (Im 18 and only have 1 yr NCD!)

Are they good to drive? quick? etc

Cheers

I had a 110 as my second car. Not too shabby on the performance front especially for an 18 year old (well it wasn't for me when I was 19!) and handles pretty well. Insureance, from what I can remember, was a little steep though and servicing was't the cheapest. Chopped it in for a Cupra about 3 years ago and haven't looked back.

There excelent cars, very underated. I would look for a late 2004ish TDI 130 SE if you can find one. These can be identified by slightly differnt wheels to the other TDI SE models, and you get the 6-speed box. Can't remember the insurnace group of the top of my head but if you have got a years NCB, live in an alrite post code and can put someone else on the policy shoudlnt be crazy expensive.

Thanks for the advice guys - I just baught a 2003 110 model yesterday.....this one:

Would have loved the later 130 model, but they are more expensive to buy, and more on the insurance!

Thanks again
