About a year ago I took out the S2000 and none of the stereo buttons worked. Later in the journey suddenly it did, so there I am happily belting along with some cheesy tunes on rather loudly, only to find that it's stopped responding again.

So I arrive home and turn the engine off and take the key out, but the stereo is still going? yikes How on earth can this happen?

Anyway, I took the fuse out and reset the stereo, and has been fine ever since.

However, last night I went out and noticed that the battery/starter sounded a bit laboured, as if not fully charged. Looked at the stereo and it had locked up again, but was on - just fortunately not playing music, so it's been draining the battery.

Anyone got any ideas as to why/how this can happen?

Thanks

A friend had one of those solar chargers and tried it on his S2000, when the sun was bright it would power up his stereo even though keys were out of ignition etc. Must be on the same circuit as the lighter, have you got anything random pluged in?

It is on the same circuit as the lighter, you're right, as when I blew the fuse in the lighter socket it took the radio out of action, but not used it ever since because of that. Really struggling to work out what is happening - guess I'll have to pop into the garage sometime
