BMW E60 5 Series - replacement 19" tyres - which ones?
Discussion
My 172M Alloys on the 535d are calling for new fronts. Standard fitments are the continental sport contact 2/3's but I wanted to know if anyone else has used Pirelli or Michelin tyres and what difference they noted if any?
Eyres are doing me the 2 conti fronts 245/35/19 for £450 fitted.

etyres have told me that you can now get these in runflats but I will go with the non runflats as they are what came with my car and obviously give a much better ride
Indeed. we didnt think much about the impact of runflats until we changed my wifes z4 coupe's 18 inch rims with run flats to 19's with regular tyres - it was like a different car! Far less jittery.I've had Michelins which were fine, then tried Vredsteins which only lasted 13k and I was never too confident when it was wet (fine in the dry though) - now onto Conti's which are proanbly the best I've tried of the 3 manufacturers.
Hate forking out a load of cash for tyres but fully appreciate the need to as they are the only thing in contact with the road.
My vote goes with the Contis for now (hoping to crack the 18k the Michelins were good for).
