After taking my car for service, coming back with the nice friendly mechanic saying "to be honest, its going to be a money pit" (tell me about it... 
) and didnt do any work on it saying price things up from ebay etc and get back to us if you want things doing, i came home thinking...
I wont be able to sell it, unless someone wants a lovely yellow mx5 with a perfect engine and a few niggles here and there and can do the work themselves (which i cant)... so what about just selling all the parts from it, surely worth more doing that than anything else. How much do wings, bumpers, bonnets, mirrors, seats, hood & whatever else anyone would want, sell for individually?
Its a shame but i cant afford to shell out on a massive service bill and worry something else goes wrong.
How much are people buying Mk1's for now, £1,500 to £2,000 for decent one? May as well save up for a bit, and try my luck again...

Problems: bent steering, power steering issues, calipers & pads on rear, left rear could be a little bent too, small water leak somewhere, quite disturbing stray wire melting onto exhaust!? intermittent electrical issues, radio turns itself off every now and again... air getting into 4th cylinder of engine (injecor seals broken or something - cheap fix apparently) clutch is on the blink, sometimes struggle to get in gear with engine on, fine with engine off, possibly not put back right when engine fitted? Air con doesnt work, forgot about that... then whatever else may be found.

Dont break it, especially as its a yellow one. If you cant do it yourself, offload it so someone who can. Sounds like its had a bump though with all that bent suspension.
Suspension may not be too bad, front left I whacked a kerb (understeer at a roundabout), back left I whacked a kerb sideways on (sort of spun a little bit & ended up facing wrong way down the (deserted) road... 
), maybe just needs re-aligning. No actual crash damage though. Might put an ad up for it as it is, or temped to put it in the garage til I get some money to spend on it, although that may take a while.

Here you go, some pictures I've just taken - it's dark and the trailer is burried under an engine crane and a gazebo, but you should be able to see most of it.
I'm not going to pretend it's a particularly nice trailer, certainly no Brian James - it's heavy steel (but therefore strong I suppose) and although twin-axle the rear axle's brakes don't work, and it makes a rubbing sound as it moves which I think is one of the brake drums rubbing, but it served to carry my kit car around for 3 years with no issues.
Also has 2 heavy-duty steel ladder ramps which you can see laying on top of it.
