Is it possible to retrofit the sat-nav/TV with an E46 M3? If so, who would do it and what are the approximate costs?

Cheers
Rob

Rob,

A search turned up this:

In short, its not worth it. IMO, it looks lovely, but not worth the hassle. Mind you, people say the same about the folding mirrors, but i still want them fitted! smile

You need the following..

Monitor £250
Nav unit £75 for CD version and £350 for DVD version
Tuner/brain £2-300

You then need to buy the following from the dealer...

Relocation ashtray that relocates your climate £17
Retrofit harness £130 - This makes it completely plug and play.

You can do the retrofit in around 3-4 hours. Took me 3 hours from start to finish, was amazingly easy.

So will cost you around £800 and add £1000+ come resale.

Well worth doing.

Makes such a difference to the cabin...

Well bugger me, that goes against everything I've ever read! The looks great Guy, very interesting too, thanks for posting.

Out of interest, what is your car, is it the CS?

Cheers

Those are ebay prices by the way, apart from the retrofit cable and climate relocation trim.

That was the CSL, sadly missed every day!! frown

Looks very nice! They seem to be a rare breed at the moment - i.e. holding their value!
