Can anyone help? I've managed to snap my own wing mirror off! It sounds stupid but I fold the mirrors in when i park the car near my house to stop a)drivers hitting them b) kids kicking them off (its happened to my 2 previous cars!). So when I've gone to fold them back out the drivers side mirror has snapped off in my hand...great. The metal pin seems to have rusted through on the ball and socket joint. I've had a search online and can't seem to see a replacement for this. I've found a company which can repair it for £25, any other suggestions?
Cheers, Rackattack.

This happened to me. Do you have any of the long old cross head screws, the type you get with a bed from argos or similar? You can use these to repair it.

Or you can go to halfords and buy an M6 bolt and use that.

Here is the link. Be careful when removing the glass, take your time and it'll come off.

I'm sure I've got a load of the long bolts at home. I can pop one in the post to you tomorrow if you want..

Cheers for the info. I'll have a go at following the steps from the link you sent. I should be able to dig an m6 bolt out of my tool kit/junk box! Thanks for the offer of sending one though. Fingers crossed I get the glass out in one bit!
