iDrive and iPhone 3G

Anyone managed to get the iPhone 3G snap fitting for the M5/M6 iDrive? is it worth getting/expensive?

Want to know if it was available ad I believe it charges phone automatically?

Have upgrade iPhone to firmware 2.2 which apparently fixes any issues with iDrive not picking up phonebook.

2.2 works with phonebook now - tried that this weekend.

Not sure on the fitting - I don't bother, just bluetooth.
