had my car for about 18months now.

i have ( disconnected ) cables behind seats, which i always assumed were heater connectors.
i have no switch anywhere to run them.

i have a switch ( like the window switches ) on the side of the centre console ( next to my left knee ) which seems to operate a servo or something in the passenger footwell, ignition on or off.

i also have air con, for which there is a switch in the heater control ( so when you turn it to cold all the way it clicks in, and you can hear the air con, and smell air-conn'ed air ).

so,
what the hell is this switch on the console?

where the hell is the switch for the heated seats ( i really have looked all around the ignition and surrounding area )?

answers on a postcard to....

The extra switch is for the recirculate setting.

Dunno about the rest.

if you have heated seats the fan speed knob will pull out to switch them on. the switch on the side of the trans tunnel is the air con recirc as squirrelz says

indeed... just reminded me that mine are disconnected. Reason: I took the seats out a few months ago and when putting them back in I forgot to reconnect them. Hopefully the same for you.

Over here we leave things well alone if there's wires sticking out of them.

IF you have an older chim, mine is a 94 430, then the heated seat switch is a push button next to the boot release, passager one is next to the instrument light switch both under the dash. The recirculation switch on mine is between the two window switches.

The spare 'window' switch on the driver's side of the console is as stated before to recirculate the air, or not for the A/C.
My heated seats work off a single push switch on the steering column in front of the ignition. It is well hidden in a recess.

Car is a year 2000 Chimaera BTW

Heated seats on my '98 400 are with a button just in front of the ignition.
