I have a Cerbera Speed 6
Black
Black Leather
18" Spiders
AC
Alu dash
Expensive Stereo, Amp and Speakers
20k miles FSH
Just had brakes, shocks, Cv boots and wish bone.
What's it worth as I'm going to sell it.
Engine rebuilds? Work on clutch/gearbox/etc? Sports exhaust? Headlight conversion? Full/half leather?
I picked up my 4.2 Cerbera of very similar age, mileage, spec, etc. for £22k.
Or maybe a tad more? www.pistonheads.com/ads/detail.asp?i=14713&sc=3E7H&s=6

Some nice toys on that, but it's definitely overpriced. You could easily have a 4.5 of that spec for less.
J_S_G - Just checked your profile and you car is absolutely stunning. If you ever fancy getting rid, drop me a mail! I'm going to try to get hold of a Cerby (or Tuscan, not decided yet) next spring and yours is the perfect Cerby spec IMHO! I'll have to keep an eye out when i'm nect in Hudds!

Cheers Darren, won't be getting rid of it for a while yet with any luck... running like a dream (touch wood)!
It's taken a while to get the wheels & tyres, sports exhaust, headlight conversion, leather re-trim, stereo, engine tuning, bonnet re-spray, Leven bits & bobs, etc. etc. sorted, but everyone on here's steered me right each time - owe you all a couple of beers! Only uprated suspension & brakes left to go... It's come on a long way in the last 4 months:
You're welcome to a spin if you're ever in the area.

From what I hear that is a very good car.

Be careful what you offer..... I've never been in a Cerby before (usually Chimaeras, Griffs and Tuscans) and would kill for a spin in a good one! My parents live in Hudds so I'm over there every few months.

I'm sure you've looked around and priced the car accordingly. At the end of the day it's based on supply and demand and if you can sell it for that (perhaps because someone loves the colour combo or whatever) then good luck to you! However, I spoke to Jamie last week and he's finding cars difficult to shift at the moment. I also find it interesting that he's selling a '99 yellow Cerbie with 9400 miles for 23,995 with warranty, and that's from a dealer (see www.tvr-mads.co.uk/usedcars.htm)

I presume you guy's realise the Black car for sale in the classifieds is mine - Jamie at Madds suggested selling it for that price.
Looking in the Autotrader similar cars are all advertised at 25k+.

I'd probably expect a dealer to advertise at around that price, then get haggled down by a couple of £k and throw in a full service + warranty. Then a couple of £k less than that again for a private sale. So I'd have thought something around the £20k mark.
Don't know if these links will work, but:
1999 4.5 27k on the clock, £21k (private):

1999 S6 16k on the clock, £21k (trade):
http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&make=TVR&min_pr=75&postcode=hd3+3pw&source=0&model=CERBERA&max_pr=25000&sort=3&variant=&mileage=4&miles=1500&keywords=&agerange=2&max_records=50&search.x=34&search.y=5&start=7&distance=117&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200329100843901
Quite a few more S6s for <£23k. Given that you can add a set of spiders & a few of the alloy bits for less than £1k they're, unfortunately, not going to add that much to the value.
Good luck, anyway... hope you do get £25k - it'll help keep the residuals up for the rest of us! It's all very well an owner knowing what the extras cost, what deals can be done, etc. but someone coming to buy it that doesn't have any experience is a different story.
