Power steering

I have just bought a P reg 323 with the 2.5 engine.
The steering seems a little on the heavy side.
There are no fluid leaks and the level is OK.
There are no noises from the Power steering pump even when full lock is applied.

Anybody advise if this is normal or any suggestions

Have you checked the tyre pressures?

Tyre pressures are OK but I do have 18" wheels on .

E36's don't have super light steering anyway, especially no with fat tyres on. Check your pressures are ok first but I wouldn't worry about it.
