MCN Insure on the radio

The bloke says his first bike cost "almost more than the bike"

Now it either cost more or it cost almost as much. Just a weird way of saying something.

On a similar point there's an advert for some kind of vitamin supplement or suchlike where an embarrassing trendy bloke is dancing and a couple of women shake out some of these pills into their hands and throw them on the floor, you just see the bloke starting to fall before it freeze-frames for the product shot. I'm surprised there isn't a "don't try this at your own parties in case of serious injury" tag line - it's only a matter of time.
That's OK because it's woman hurting men, see the diet coke lawnmower ad, it's perfectly fine to throw a pressurised can of diet coke at a rotating lawnmower blade if the person who will receive lacerations from shards of aluminium is a man.

Another breathy vocal - this time tainted love, I didn't stick around to see what it was for, looked like a poncey perfume advert. I just swore at it and changed channel.

I hate over the top health n safety rules, I'm more for common sense...

but common sense says that annoying gimp with the mc donalds iced drink who is dicking around a warehouse wearing over-priced-headphones, on roller blades while drinking and pushing a trolley around needs to be killed with a forklift.

Werthers Originals...

Does anybody remember going into their Favourite Caramel shop for the first time?

What the actual fk is a caramel shop?

I must confess that the first time I saw the advert, I thought "Right idea, and laudable sentiment, but wrong car". yes

Yeah, I don't find the advert that bad or annoying tbh, just the car they feature.

Yup. That is one of THE most stupidly worded ads of all time. Not only is there supposed to be such a thing as a caramel shop (must be exciting in there on a slow day), but the girl has a FAVOURITE caramel shop, so there must be more than one in her town. I simply cannot believe that professional ad agencies can come up with this banality AND the client buys into it. Would anyone go out and buy Werthers on the strength of that ad?

All of these charity adverts showing little Mohamid having to walk 20 miles each day just to get some dirty water! Heres a thought, why not move closer to wear the water is that way you wouldn't have to walk so far. Failing that, why don't all of these charities buy them some Nike trainers so rather than walking they could run! wink

The Cillit Bang Adverts. The block just annoys me. And the one where he comes in on a rollercoaster he isn't even strapped in! "Everything's A blur with turbo power!" that it may be, but you're selling second rate surface cleaner, not a fccking car.

Just in case you didn't realise, the character of "Barry Scott" is a character played by an actor and is meant to be that annoying, and always has been. He's no more real than the fat Go Compare man.

But then again, the Go Compare guy is really annoying too, so I'll give you that. smile

Surface cleaner adverts annoy me full stop. Marvel at how this spray removes dirt from wipe-clean surfaces.
