This one is quite fast
Thought those wheels were familiar(Do Goodwood own it now?)
It belongs to the Laws.
Attention to detail was brilliant, all the crap on the dash blu-tacked down, roof rack, lots of fun, and he didn't hold back at all!
Was it really a TWR development jobbie? What possible justification would there be for that? I always thought it was a fun project dreamed up between the Laws and Lord March...

When sabine failed, I thought in typical Top Gear stylee, they would roll out either the above van or one of the 'Supervans' and absolutely trounce the ten minute time......
Would be great to see though

I was told by an ex-TWR engineer that they had used a transit to try the 220 running gear in up and down the M40. It was apparently much easier to work on than the real thing and attracted a lot less atttention. If it survived it's probably tucked up in one of TW's barns.
The van above is the TWR development mule. Everything XJ220 related is dealt with by Don Law, he's the messiah as far as XJ220's go.Don bought it when TWR went tits up a few years ago along with other XJ220 bits that TWR had left from production.
If i remember the story he told me, he asked the if there was anything else XJ220 related and was told 'theres an engine in the back of that van over there' thinking the engine was new in the back rather than powering it!

Thats what I gathered from him, tucked in a corner I believe.I think Dons got everything xj related and has been supporting the cars for a long time.I believe Jaguar still do a bit but they get their bits from Don I think.Don bought it when TWR went tits up a few years ago along with other XJ220 bits that TWR had left from production.

I don't get the point of a small fast van. Why not just get a big fast estate car, which will probably have more pace, black the rear windows out and put a dog guard between the load bay and the passenger compartment?
VAT possibly?Goochie said:

The OP said it had to be fast.[quote=hornetrider]Sprinters go like holy hell unladen. When I was a kitchen delivery driver in my student days, it used to pull healthily up to a ton before hitting the limiter in top gear.
Yes, I was that white van up your 'arris tonking down the M4/M5.
Tidy [/quoWhen your step-son is a merc tech the sprinter dosn't hit the limiter, seen 115mph on the TomTom while driving a 314 fully laden
[disclaimer]not in the UK tho [/disclaimer]
