Had my Chimaera 4 months or so and it has always chuffed a little. Always thought they all do that......... Don't know whether its my imagination but since my neighbour mentioned it yesterday it seems to be worse! He has several Range Rovers and says the inlet manifold often works loose. Do you normally get a bit of external induction noise (!) or, if not, is this simple to fix for an idiot or should I refer it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Think once you start listening for a noise you will hear it!!!!!!! Is it definitely induction? as it is more usually exhaust manifold gaskets that go.

I've never had any induction problems

If you do get uneven running at idle it's more likely to be the stepper motor (do a search)
