Wedgies Opinion/Poll!

Decisions/Decisions
Scenario. I've got a trick Chassis for the Rally Wedge with a fancy Roll cage. Body is VVV smashed and in a real state and engine is a stock 4.6.
So what to do:
1) Rebuild the body & V8 Devt do engine.
2)Use my Series 1 350's body & V8 Devt do engine
3)Buy the 4.2 engined 390 I've seen and use this body and engine and get it finished quicker
4)Use the body and engine from my 420 SEAC (thus leaving a spare chassis & base engine)
OR
Give up & sell the project

Tas,
IMHO ,after seeing them .....i'd use the body off of that scary 350, and sell all the useful bits left over (or store for further use!)...primarily because the 350 is a distraction anyway (as you know there are not enough hours in the day!), ...if you do stove the rally car into the scenery there will be a plentiful supply of fibreglass to replace panels etc ....not so with aramid composites....and remember you have that luxury of popping out to the shops or scaring some poor 'wedge wannabe' silly ,in the SEAC !
Besides that, in the rally world ,the body is the most disposable item on the vehicle, and there's no need to impress the Wedge afficianado in the Kinder forest, your chassis/engine set up is the prime concern.
Please save the yellow fellow for fun, and do the serious ass-kicking in the rally 350!

Option 1 sounds the best, but how bad is the body ?
Easy to mod the 4.6 .
You have the light weight nose, how about taking moulds and producing some of the other panels as ultra lightweight, these wedges are bloody thick & heavy and you do have protection with the cage, this would make it like the Tuscan racer, sacrificial body , a big project though.
Do you really think you should buy any more ??

Body is smashed to the bulkhead and the steering/pedal box area is "Bol**xed". Lightweight nose cone - centre of the arches forward & no inner. It'd need the complete mould of yours Graham from Andy.
Thoughts were:
Body parts and rebuild £1,500 (min)
Paint £1,000
Engine to 300 hp £3,000
thus £5.5k & loadsa time. Hence the 390SE with the 4.2 thoughts as it's only £5k!
Thanks for the input chaps
Tim - I had thought of getting some lightweight bits made. I've got the mould for the centre of the hard top & SEAC wing "personal use only" - of course!.

body parts :- mmm call me it might be less than you think...
paint :- ok there is a range but my last paint job cost 60 quid in bits a cheese sarni and 6 cans of stella, im sure a few hundred quid would cover it.
engine:- always a tricky one this as basicly the cost is unlimited. if you went the 390 route you've really got no ide on the state of the motor( unless you already know the car) but you could easily end up rebuilding it very quickly and there is the saving gone..

I carnt wait to see it.....
