No. Have never and would never consider it. Each to their own though.

How long do they last? And when I say last, I mean last looking how they looked in the first year. Someone asked earlier but I don't think it was answered (they referred to intricate tattoos on young, fairly toned people).

When you see older people, the tattoos seem to always look blue and blurry, is this still the case with modern inks and techniques and how does anybody know?

What is it supposed to be? Mythical? Dunno, thought it looked a bit grouse-like for a start but the wings don't seem to be placed symmetrically in any case.

Might get a WD40 can tattoo, complete with red straw.

I feel confident that someone, somewhere will already have done it. We had Tony Blair with a tennis racket a few pages back, so WD40 is almost normal.

No problem.

Is that a male or female Phoenix?

Just because if it's not a lady, your mate just paid someone a lot of money to draw a massive cock on her back =)

I'd like some advice please, or maybe some ideas.
The wife and I are now 5 years past her cancer diagnosis, so all clear.

She wants some flower tattoos for her scars, I would like a guardian angel of some description. High quality black / grey type of thing.

My original idea was an angel protecting representations of our 6 birth stones, I'm not sure a shopping list of names (there are 6 of us) would dignify it, and may look more at home in poundland.
Maybe something like this - I was thinking an arm piece rather than back.

Or something bigger like this.

Whats the best way to represent the six of us? or just leave it as the Angel?
Thoughts welcome.
(very middle class, I have made a pinterest board of the styles and images I like, to show the artist, as I'm not 100% on what I want)

Really? Is there an issue with this style over time?

Just get whatever you're happy with. I wouldn't worry about the future. Tattoo removal should advance at a far better pace than your tattoo gets worse by.... It won't be a problem to change it around or move it later.

Firstly, great news about the 5 years clear - Must be such a relief for you all.

I guess the choice and size of tattoo would also be influenced by where the scars are.

Just take your ideas and thoughts to any decent artist and work with them to get what you want. Anyone worth using will be able to advise on placement, size and style etc. They may well come up with something you'd have never thought of, but will think is perfect...

Goon news on the all clear btw smile

Yep, remarkable work.

It looks slightly too far over to the rhs to me though

All I'm saying is that given 'spread' it wont stay like that long.

I wonder if that was deliberate. i.e. someone st their pants at a couple of hours of slightly more discomfort, to be stuck with a lop sided tattoo for life.

Or the stencil wasn't applied centrally to start with.

Anyone here got a chestpiece and quite a hairy chest?

I'm no newbie to tattoos, but I'm considering some work on my chest, but not sure if it's going to look naff once the hair grows back... Seems pointless getting some good and detailed art work if the hair will just spoil it frown

Cheers.

So just shave/wax/epilate it after?

Nice vibrant colours, no hair in the way.
