Oki doki. Here we go again.

A good set of prices today, IMO; though I still find it incredible that there's such demand so close to Christmas. Especially as we're all supposed to be broke!

A 'heads up' for you all for a less frequent sale early in the New Year: on Tuesday January 11th, Toyota Finance and Lexus Finance are holding a joint sale of over 200 cars. Sould be a good sale if you fancy a bit of shiny Japanese metal.

I know you're all fascinated by the on-going saga of our little green friend:

Well, the vendor is clearly no smart cookie.

The 99/V 19 Z3 was bid to £4,000 in its first week, £3,150 in its second week and today received a top bid of £2,400 (I've maintained since week one that it was worth no more than £2,500). But did the hammer fall? Nope. I wonder if they'll accept this week's bid?

Straight into today's sale now.

Out of interest, where does the majority of stock come from? Is it dealers who cant sell it, dealers who cant be bothered to get it up their used standard, or just private people?

It's virtually all 2005 stuff - so lease cars coming off lease mostly. Many seem to have Lloyds TSB Autolease plates.

Gosh that E39 is cheap.

Lots of cars have private plates. They are transferred back to their original plate as part of the sales process, so new plates are often fitted at the auction house as part of prep.

Bugger,

That Golf 2.0 GT tdi is a cheap car, that's got £6495 written all over it. I managed to bag a couple of cheap ex-motab C-max zetec's at BCA in Edinburgh last week.

I need to get my arse down for the Lexus/Toyota sale. I'll buy the tea V8! thumbup

Looks like the sort one in the photo. I really think that that 520i is a real steal. If only i didn't need finance and a px facility for my car/could afford the insurance on half of them.

They're taken on a phone, so somewhat more discreet than a full SLR on tripod smile

I'm not really the shy, self-conscious type, so don't care really biggrin

Great post, V8. That Merc SLK and that Mini with the red stripes both look like great VFM, as does the black Rangey Sport smile

thanks for taking the time to post up these auction results threads, they make very interesting reading.

I'm in the market for something new at the end of Jan/Feb and you've convinced me it's worth seeing what's coming up at auction.

thanks again.
