My drivers door inner has an annoying habit of detatching itself from the outer when close from the inside.

Close inspection reveald that the plastic plugs that go from the wooden (?) inner into the fibreglass are knackered...

anyone know where they can be found?

Try "Wollies For Trim", do a search on the net for thier web site.

However if the trim is coming away from the door it sounds as though the nut and bolt that should hold it in place has either worked loose or has not been replaced by somebody.

With the speaker removed put your arm inside the door, you should feel a thin bolt coming through the door from around the top of the "door panal arm" towards the front of the door, this bolt should be secured by a suitably sized washer and nut.

Mine has two bolts and what a b*stard to get to they are! I've had to dis-assemble my o/s door twice to sort out the window channel guide. Wing nuts have been suggested as a good alternative.
