Well I never thought I would see the day! The Specials are touring April/May next year smile

30 years since they started, the music has stood the test of time and the lyrics are as relevent today as back then.

Dig out your pork pie hat and go dance the night away!

Tickets are available from 9 a.m. tomorrow and demand is expected to be high.

Got mine thru' Ticketmaster for the Friday at Brixton Academy - looks like there are still some for an extra show on the 12th if anyone is looking for London tickets.

Got home last night and listened to 'Specials' and 'More Specials' in anticipation...

I think we can guarantee that they'll make a better job of performing 'A Message to you Rudy' than Amy Winehouse did last year...

Have a look on Youtube, there are some clips from Newcastle, they sound really good, can't wait!

Also note that Madness are on Jules Hollands show tonight doing some of the new stuff and an oldie or maybe two, the new stuff is fantastic, some of the best they have done to date smile

Saw them in Birmingham last night, awesome, totally awesome. Nice intimate venue, the band were super tight and the whole place was bouncing. Possibly one of the best gigs I have ever been to!

Sorry to piss on yer chips but they were ste on Jules Holland. Why does anyone want to go and see a band that, and I count myself as a huge fan...in their heyday, are only doing this for the wonga & just can't cut it now that their all pushing 50!

Perhaps next time you should go as opposed to staying in to watch 'Britain's Got Talent' Mr Armchair Pundit.

Firstly, I've seen the Special when they were....'Special' secondly, I don't need to go to know that they can't cut it anymore and are only doing this for the money. If it's not about the money how come Simon Jordon is putting it together? Thirdly, & most importantly, Gerry Dammers ain't even appearing & he IS the Specials! wink

I saw them too on Jules Holland. WTF is Terry Hall on? lurking about at the back sort of joining in. Made me feel a bit sad really.

I think it was nerves and the like, look on Youtube at the live gigs and they look much more relaxed, the reviews have been really good as well, I for one, can't wait!

Jordon is Terry Halls manager which is the reason he is involved.

And they can still cut it mate, Horace's bass sounds better than ever and Lynval is jumping around like a teenager, they are having fun this time rather than the extremes of pressure that caused the split the first time around.

Jerry was the founder of the SpecialS I agree and he started the Two Tone label but the Specials are more than one person, they would not sound the same without Terry either, and remember Jerry did not write the big hits, they wer either covers or mainly composed by Roddy.

Roll on Sunday smile
