Any tips for tightening it up???
I can feel it but can't get it to turn (not much space in there).

Anybody got some handy hints to make life a bit easier.

Never had a good handbrake.

I think the more you try to get it to bite better the harder it will be to pull up and it could possibly break.

I know it's cr@p but last night I pulled it on and it went completely slack. I think the plastic thingies slipped. I was going to try and tighten it up again and put some hose clips on the back side to try and stop it next time.

Meant to also add....
I assume tightening is toward the front of the car. Tried both directions but cant get enough leverage and my crowbar won't fit in the space.

Shouldn't be that tight, are you aware that it's a two part adjuster? Did you release the handbrake first?

Loosen rearmost 'nut' first then use the other to adjust, (clockwise I think, but not 100% certain). Unless the cable is really covered in crud then it should be adjustable by hand. Make sure that the rear handbrake drums don't bind afterwards.

I can see the two parts but it's like they're welded together.
It was adjusted about two months ago so it shouldn't be all caked in crud. I think I just can't get enough leverage.
Need a ramp!!!!
