On both pictures red arrow point to shock absorber (flex pipe) on header and here is small crack in. Crack is before lambda sondas and maybe exhaust sack air from outside and lambda think that in gases have to much air. That can be problem.

How I can fix this? Do I need this absorber? No one aftermarket headers have this.

thanks

Suppose you might get away with having it welded but for the cost you may as well try a second hand manifold. What engine's it off BTW?

My flexi joint is also cracked.

The garage has advised me to have it welded up, not sure what this will cost on it's own as they've quoted for a few jobs in one go. I've not found any aftermarket ones available and think you might struggle to find a s/h manifold on it's own.

This is a well documented fault on E36 M3s. I believe it's very expensive to remedy the fault the 'proper' way, hence In most cases I've heard of it has been welded.
