My local dealer has one for sale with loads of extras, including EDC, taking the price to over £56K but SLASHED to £49K.
I wonder if they will ever sell it considering a year old one can be had for as little as £35K.
I'd be amazed if they sold it anywhere near £49k. People are going on about what good value the M3's look at just under £40000 but even if you buy at that price and drive out of the dealership you're still going to lose near enough £10k straight away. I wonder if they will ever sell it considering a year old one can be had for as little as £35K.
I made the prediction that we would see an M3 for £32999 by Christmas ( which we did at a main dealer ). By April/May next year i think we'll see low mileage M3's for under £28000 at main dealers.
Thats about the right price to buy at.

What do you think would be a fair price difference between a brand new car and a one year old (or slightly more now) one with say 8,000 miles? I would certainly pay a lot more for an 09 model year car with idrive 2 and probably with running improvements than I would for an early car. But in my case not £16k more. How much more would others pay for the new one?
Of course I am ignoring the fact that the 'new' car probably is not really a 'new' car. I wonder how long it has been sitting around at the dealer.

My last E92 M3 was an ex-demonstrator but I was happy to pay the premium for a new factory order on my current one. It might seem crazy, but (with a good discount and guaranteed £30k back in 3 years on a PCP) I like having a car that no-one else has been in. And I know it's not been sitting around at the dealers from the September 2008 build date stamped on it.Of course I am ignoring the fact that the 'new' car probably is not really a 'new' car. Oh, and idrive 2 is great BTW!

Always thought that the cost of living was low out there. Is it because it's an import and a locally made Proton/Kia whatever is peanuts. At those prices it might be worth shipping my D3 over and selling it in KL as it is worth bugger all here.
Yeah general cost of living is quite low but wages are even lower, making it a very expensive place to live when u take into account wages. Eg even tho fuel per litre is cheaper here, a waiter on minimum wage can only affored 1.5 litres of fuel after an hours work, wheres a waiter in 5.50 an hour in the UK can afford around 4 litres of fuel after tax.Tax on imported cars is crazy, and I believe Protons are more expensive here in Malaysia than in the UK lol

Then you must be paying way over the top per month as the car's going to be worth well below £20k.Deutscher said:
