Mercedes Benz Service History help please.

Hi, wonder if anyone here is able to help me, I'm looking at a used Mercedes which has around 70k with old MOTs to confirm. The current owner does not have the service history though. Does anyone know if is it possible to trace this through a dealer or some sort of centralised record keeping dept at Mercedes? I know BMW offer a similar type service. If MErcedes do have such a facility is it possible to obtain a duplicate service book and request it be stamped up accordingly?

I reckon they must store all service records centrally on computer, as I've used the Mobilo breakdown service in the past and before they send a technician out to help they can check that your car has a Merc service history (if it doesn't you don't get any help) from the reg number.

Should be no problem at all - when I was buying my car and Mrs Orb(s) car (both Mercs) I simply rang Merc in Stockport and the bloke went through it.

I recently had an electrical fault and the tech actually went through all the records to check if it had ever been in for anything similar previously.

I guess this is the C43 on Ebay. Subject of a bit of discussion on another MB forum. Concensus is not to touch it, fiercely expensive to maintain and without a SH you don't know what has (or hasn't) been done to it.

From the spec list, I'd say that's for an ML55 AMG.

ask dealer to wash & vac car while it's there, also free.

Hi the car was Registered on 08/09/1998
there are no oustanding recalls.
the only service i can find is @ MB colindale @11417mls on the 26/04/2001

there is no other MB service history on the vehicle.
