M3 CS Wheels & Track Tyres
Discussion
Hi.
I've heard loads of different stories about CS wheels. Some say they are CSL wheels and some people think otherwise. Anyone know for a fact?
The reason I ask is that since I bought my car it has been fitted with 225/35/19 on the front and 255/30/19 on the back rather than 235 and 265 on the CSL's. Weird no?
The second question is tyres.
Toyo R888's or Cups. Pros and cons? Anyone used the R888's on their car? They seem to be a lot more hardcore! Will teh Cups last a lot longer?
Thanks
Craig

I would agree with the wheels thing however the fronts have the same part no as my mates CSL?? Weird!
Well i do run the car on the road but hardly any miles. Its mostly track or HARD road driving! (All under the speed limits ofcourse) Perhaps the R888's would be a little too hardcore. Do the Cups last ok?

i'm prepared to be corrected but i understand that 888's don't work well on track with something heavy like a cs or a standard m3. just tend to overheat + loose grip. i've got a standard m3 which i'm looking for a second set of wheels for 'ring trips or as a back up trackday car. was going to put some cups on when i get them because thats what csl's run. not sure if anyone has any thoughts?
or any m3 alloys for sale? would anyone use replicas or would it be safer to stick to originals for a set of track wheels?
