I know there's no notice, but if you are interested I will be running a short route on New Year's Day starting from the OK Diner:

Bloody Oaks Service Station
A1 Northbound
Tickencote
Stamford
PE9 4AD

I'll be leaving at about 10AM (plenty of time for brekky!) and taking in a new route I found, stopping off for tea and cakes or a light lunch before heading off to the A1 near Stamford. I expect it all to be over by half one or two at the latest. Nice scenery and a gentle drive.

Let me know if you're interested!

Eek! Just as well I phoned to check, the OK Diner is only opening at 10AM tomorrow! So if you're planning to drop along, we'll be there at about 10, have brunch and leave at about 10:30.

Thanks for the run out today, even if it was a bit slippy. The car is all clean now - the mud I collected on the lights meant that I must have been difficult to spot at times as I was at the back of the pack.

Steve, great to have you along! I hope you enjoyed the route, sorry I was driving so gingerly, but I thought it was definitely a "better safe than sorry" day.

Hopefully I can get you along for one where I'm not driving like a big girl's blouse.

No problem - definitely a day to be safer than sorry...

... did you notice the lack of grip I had when I went past you on the A1? I don't think I used more than 1/2 throttle all day - and that was too much.

Not a day for 260bhp in a 575kg car!

Here is the route we drove that can be viewed in Google Earth: www.sjmmarsh.f2s.com/NYBlat.kml

It looks straighter on the map than it felt when we were driving it.
