I'm having trouble finding race tracks in or near Texas to do track days at. I've never done it before. The only website I found was this one http://chasinracin.net/track-locator/states/ and the SCCA website which has mostly road courses that I think are only set up for their events.

I'm looking for tracks near Lubbock and Houston. There are two on that site that are in NM, which is close to Lubbock. I found one in Houston on that site but it looks like they only set it up for special events like ALMS.

Isn't there a map somewhere of actual race tracks?

I can think of names of a load of tracks everywhere else, but the only tracks I can think of in my own country are Laguna Seca and Sebring hehe but they are too far away.

There is a small track just south of Houston called grandsport Racepark. Short course but very technical.
North west of Houston is Texas world speedway which has track days all the time. Next weekend, 01/24-25, is a Drivers Edge event.
Motor Sports Ranch in Alvin is also just south of Houston on highway 288. Great facility, but pricey.

There is also a track near San Marcos, (between San Antonio and Houston), called Harris Hill Rd.
Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas. Okay if you're not bothered by concrete walls, (the track is more NASCAR in style).

Not to far away, east of Texas in Baton Rouge, Louisianna is a small track called No Problem Raceway.
Nice facility, relatively in-expensive.

Look up the various tracks as they will have listings for various driving events and organizations posted.

Hope this helps.
