What are peoples opinions? Anything to look out for?
How much should I be looking for an early, probs cheapest one (10K ish), the sport seems to be alot more than the normal ones. The seats are the main reason for wanting the sport, is there may other differences?

If you’re looking for one of the earlier (05 or older) 3.0’s then they’re all the same basic spec: M Sport suspension was standard but the seats aren’t. Check out the seats before you decide on M Sports or not though: I actually prefer the standard seats as the M Sports were too narrow across the shoulders for me to get as comfy (but I’ve got big shoulders, 6’1 and 90kgs).

Things changed around on 06-plate onwards with the newer (more powerful) 3.0 engine when M Sport seats and other bits were made standard.

Only major thing to look out for is snapped springs (common problem) and corrosion on the 5-spoke “Composite star” split rim alloys. Oh, and obviously the roof mechanism must be perfect.

I’m still a beginner with Z4 knowledge as I’ve only had mine for 2 weeks but I found www.z4-forum.com a great resource.

The reason why the Sports are so much more is because in the 2005 and earlier cars there was no Sport, so all the Sports are newer.

£ 10k will get you an 03 3.0. There are a few about, so shop around. They all tended to have a pretty high level of spec. Things to go for are heated seats, xenon's,carver stereo upgrade. Other stuff is personal choice.

Cheers, I'm keeping an eye on the auction list, and there is another thread I'm watching talking about this now. Thanks for the replies.
