how about one of these, still want a bit of prestige! although a NI Police Landy would be pretty awesome.
6.0 V12 twinturbo tdi! Great performance with diesel economy! (ish)

although it doens't look like it's out yet - still may be out in time for the apocolypse.
Will keep on thinking though
That is a good choice... Looks evil as well... 6.0 V12 twinturbo tdi! Great performance with diesel economy! (ish)

23 mpg of diesel though? Isn't that about the same as ~16/17mpg petrol? Horrendous economy, horrendous looks, torque aside performance isn't that good and will undoubtedly cost a fortune to purchase... It sounds like the sort of car that I would only want at the end of the world..

Alternatively, convert a bus as per Dawn of the Dead

300tdi engined landrover defender. Most likely a 110 as well.
No electrics to go wrong. simple to work on and can run on veg oil easily.
Mount a big gun on it and drive around like rambo blowing chav's heads off.
Remember they will be after the same food as you so get rid of them to help your supplies thumbup:
Could we have a PH clan to keep safe in?

This aught to show the Tracksuit wearing undead whos boss. a couple of co ordinated strikes with your mates and the job's a goodun
and you could use this just for the banter
but with this mounted on the roof
I like your thinking but I can't help but think that tactical nuclear strikes within your own countries border might make things much worse. You're forgetting that with the radioactive fallout you'd also increase the incidence of giant mutant creatures. and you could use this just for the banter

RS6 with a mounted machine gun is a good idea though (GPMG FTW). That's my final decision.

I like the sounds of that THE PH SILVERSTONE CITY, the Defender/Ex military bunch out getting the fuel/protecting the boundary, WAGS harvesting and preparing food and the rest of us on a rota to get the quickest lap times in my Ultima GTR and all the other interesting cars we have....Edited by robm3 on Thursday 8th January 16:30
I'm torn between this (as already mentioned):
And something like these:
The Bowler is fast enough to evade the underclasses, and will be relatively light returning "reasonable" distances between fillups.
The monsters will go anywhere, you can live in them, and they will run off just about any fuel you can think of. You can house lots of other "normal" people inside with bg guns, to stave off the looneys while you fill up with juice.

I get the feeling I've not only just created a rift between the middleclass PHers and the wider community but I've also opened discussions on military vehicles we should use against them. I imagine it's only a matter of time before Mi5/6 storm the office...
Oh well... Viva la revolution!
Also I wouldn't want to live in a tank when I can have a well kitted out manson to hold out in. Have you never seen 28 days later? That worked out pretty well for them if I remember rightly...

I have been introduced to this:
I think this would be a perfect post apocalyptic car, given that there would be no rules preventing you from using it on the roads.
I **so** want one of these right now. Go and look at the spec.
