CAT C Write Off

There is a rather nice green chimera 4.0 for sale in the Warrington area... however, it's been a write off but owner is asking full money and not declaring it...

Just thought I would save you the cost of the HPI check...

Wish i had read this post before i paid the £39 to walk away!!

Actually, the author of this post was with me when we saw the car and it does look like a 3 year old one rather than a 7 year old one, but that rings true as it was pretty much rebuilt in july 2000. just shows the importance of checking these cars history when you buy privately £39 is a small price to pay when you could end up with a car that is worth £3-4k less than an unbent one.

The good news is that I picked up a mint 1996 chim 4.0., 1 owner, 22k miles, PAS, in crimson starmist, clear HPI!... so I will now become a regular on these pages.. I have been a previous TVR owner as I had a wedge 350i for 5 years

Just a thought, does the seller know ?

Or does he think that as it's a had a "full rebuild" it's worth more in which case it sounds like a great car he's probably best off keeping it

Alright Leadfoot! Hey, I actually saw a sign the other day in the centre of Warrington for a 'Cultural Quarter'... i.e. a collection of kebab houses!!!!
