Ultima GTR to appear on Top Gear
Discussion
Sorry to have to say you are wasting your time.
When they tested the Veyron there were two identical cars brought to the track on a transporter along with a whole team of mechanics and PR people. The whole lot was there for the whole day. This day would have cost Bugatti more than the value of a factory built Ultima.
If they were to run an Ultima we all know it would smash the track record but from that point on the likes of Bugatti and all the other top makers would never again supply cars for testing. It's called market forces.
The best we could hope for would be an appearance on the very last Top Gear show.

I understand what your saying Steve, but that's no reason for it not be on the show.
What about the Caterham R500 and Ariel Atom what's the difference?
They both have had good coverage on the show and it's not the fact Ultima haven't offered Top Gear to have the car as they have!

The test may have been with Bugatti but the lap was done in a private car with visible damage down the side. Look under the door and you can see where he drove it into the curb at a petrol station. When they tested the Veyron there were two identical cars brought to the track on a transporter along with a whole team of mechanics and PR people. No doubt they were happy to have them as they knew they were not going to take top slot. What about the Caterham R500 and Ariel Atom what's the difference?
