Having just seen a picture of the stands at Reims in another thread ,do any of you have any pictures of any racetracks that are now not used ,buildings ,etc?Just imagine the sights and sounds of a bygone era! One day I would like to spend a couple of weeks touring and take them all in ,as there are a fair few in Europe (Not to mention the Brooklands banking of course) ,but for now pix will have to do,sadly.

Not quite the same as its an ex street circuit that is now a virtually unused and fantastic hillclimb courtesy of a big bypass. Just have to watch out for monkeys sitting in the road.

The Thomson Road Grand Prix Circuit

then.

Inevitably, there's a book.

Autodrome, the Lost Race Circuits of Europe, by S.S. Collins and Gavin D. Ireland. It's very good and features Avus, Brooklands, Crystal Palace, Keimola, Masarykring, Montlhery, Monza, Nurburgring and Reims.

Thinking about it, there are probably numerous books.

Here's some I took earlier!

Also had a nice video of a lap of Rouen but my computer ate it frown

Loads of interesting stuff here

That Autrodrome book is well worth the money. This is also worth a read.
