hi hoolio

I wasnt trying to be clever i just know what i got when i hpid it, came up clear maby the seller as had it inspected and removed ,i belive the inspection for this is very thorough indeed so if thats the case then this would make the car seem good ,the seller all so has all the pics of the car damaged i have to say it looked very little ,all the rads were intact etc there are close up pics of the chassy which just shows damaged to the top wishbones but none to the chassy ,even the outrigger hanggers look untouched wich are normally the first thing to go. the 14k repair bill proberly is massively over exaggerated as body shops do this to spank the insurance you will know this only to well ,the body damage was front n/s arch and head light and a scractch up the door and both n/s wheels looked like they had damage the rear just looked lighty scratched i know pics dont show everything but it was very light thats for sure .whoever has rebuild this car seem to have made a nice job the attention to detail and paint finish is exellent any way is it still snowing there ??? i am sending this email from spain where it is nice n warm
Yes, still snowing here. Great weather for Tiv's nuts

well i can confirm that i hpi d it and it was NOT a cat D however the black one he had was a D cat he said, so thats mabe where confussion is
There's a pattern developing here....

Is the black Sag that you talk of the car that previously you had said was also not a Cat D?

mccrae on the thread below said:
if anybody as bothered to hpi this car you will find it is not a cat D the car has had a rear panel and a new spoiler it didn't even damage the rear lights or diffuser ,most tvrs on the road you will find have had a panel or two fitted ,this car is 39k and represents great value the car comes with full photographic repair at tvr body shop and a twelve month warranty. this was very minor damage and is one of the nicest sags available. However any one thats looking for a cheaper sag i have them starting at 29k !

Guys,

Lets clear this up. Was that white car Halcyon Midas Yellow previously? Would have been on yorkshire plate YD05CDG? Sounds to mutch of a coincidence for it not to be my old car? The car was mint before the accident, ie near concours with 7k miles on it!!!! Anyone who has viewed it will notice that it will possibly still have yellow stitching in the interior, other than that it was all black leather,in near new condition. It did have DAB so the aerial may have been removed?

The chasis was damaged on the drivers side and the drivers front wheel was hanging off due to the wishbone hanger being ripped off the main chassis. It will have had a nose cone and every ancilary from teh front of the chasis forward. I have pictures if req'd, not apretty sight.

The car was written off and the insurance paid out £42k.

Can anyone confirm its previous colour?

J

May I ask how old you are, and/or what connection you evidently have with the seller?

Yes, some people may have jumped the gun regarding it's category status (I still stick by the interior looking 'tired' though), but your aggressive tone and literacy skills are akin to that of a petulant teenager...

There was a thread about a Grey Sag that was damaged / repaired if anyone can be bothered to find it. I seem to remmember it had been reversed into whilst stationary which cracked the front clam and then fixed and resprayed grey - it was on sale on here with a new respray (and was cheap) a while ago and was a CAT D I think. Whether this is / was the same car that has now been sprayed agian I don't know - what is the reg of the white car, perhaps we can identify it from that as I notice the seller has concealed it...is it GX05 EYJ?

I think the grey one you are referring to was re-biult and for sale with what used to be Newlun Perfomeance (can't remember what they are called now).

Yes there was, but unfortunately for codieskid it is now sitting downstairs in my office carpark.

Every cloud has a silver lining though, I'm smiling from ear to ear. biggrin

Well done - she looks beautiful.
Had it still been for sale now, I think she would be sitting in my garage!

Could that have been the Chameleon Green one that was in the showroom?
