Hello,

I am thinking that the Audi TT TDi might just make the perfect car in a bit. It looks good goes fast and is good on the old fuel.... But what do you all think is it any good or is it Just wrong.

It combines a bit of my last two cars, GTM Libra, (Fun,Fast and good looking) and the current one a Fabia VRs, (Ok, Fast ish and er practical).

Cheers

Interesting, He did not really like it. Mind you the fact that it did not get it’s tail out and head for a hedge like the BM is a plus in my book lol But if the TT TDi has lost ist mid range grunt then oh dear is that not the point! But the Audi blurb I think said that it is faster in the mid range than the 2.0 Tfsi, (aka thingy) one…

Any one got one?

I havent got one but they do look very nice. Although the 123D is faster the TT is probably the nicer car to spend time in and it looks a lot cooler.

I lent a customer of ours one a few weeks ago and he came back saying "it just dosn't seem like a TT"

Its aimed at people who want the looks but are happy to compromise performance for economy, which really goes against the spirit of the TT completely IMO. There are a few more engine/gearbox combo's due later this year, might be worth seeing what comes up.

Plus the real-world MPG figures for the 170 diesel and the tfsi engines mean there's not a big fuel cost saving to be made - especially if the 11p price difference continues.
