New Speed Cameras on M25???
Discussion
Whilst driving home, after dropping ‘Fluffy’ back to TVR SLAG I noticed some new speed cameras on the M25. I was on the newly resurfaced part going clockwise 5 miles before the M11 junction when I first saw them. They are covered in orange covers at the moment with ‘out of use’ on them. They are the permanent type not the portable ones that you normally get in road works. The calibration marks are yet to be applied to the road as well so there will be a short time before they are active I would think.
But they are positioned about a mile apart so there are a few of them. I take it that this is all irrelevant information for you all cos you never go over the speed limit!!!!!
Laterz mad people

Not sure if theses are a permanent fixtures or not, but the roadworks around the M11 and Waltham Abbey exits, are at the mo a 40mph area. The cameras seem to be constantly on the 'move' according to where the main works are taking place, sometimes some are covered and others that were, arent!,,Keeping us TVR owners on our toes i expect!! I also understand the roadworks are to be there for a year in total, so i guess at least another 8 months of speed restrictions.
I pass this area at least 2/3 times per week and they have definately been moving positions of the cameras, you can actually see the concrete bases where the previous position of the camera once stood. Maybe the cost of running generators for the years duration of the roadworks was too expensive so decided on a more permenant fixture that they may use once works have finished??...Beware thou cos all cameras are 'live' and the police are definately 'nicking' everyone caught!
