I had a idea for the best recipe book which would be a collection of my favourite recipes from selected cooks. Obviously copywrit makes this a stupid idea! I find that most books contain 1 or 2 recipes that are unbelievably good (the ones that leave guests gobsmacked) but the rest are usually average so if we can put together our own personal favourites with the location we could share our best of the best. I'll start with:

Tom Yam Gai-Nigel Slater "Real Food" pages 68-69 Greenie

Ravioli with Potato, Watercress and Cheeses-James Oliver "The Naked Chef" page 71 Greenie

Aromatic noodle dish-Nigel Slater "Appetite" pages 226-229 Greenie

Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding-Delia Smith "Winter Collection" pages 208-209 Greenie

Murghi Jhal Frezi - Mrindula Baljekar "The complete Indian cookbook" page 90 ISBN 1-85833-586-8 Bob the Planner

Pork in Black Bean Sauce - Ken Hom "Chinese Cookery" page 80 ISBN 0-563-21053-2 (using twice as many black beans) Bob the Planner

Kingsdown Ale - Dave line "Brewing beers like those you buy" page 78 ISBN 0-900841-51-6

Oven-Baked Wild Mushroom Risotto - Delia Smith's "Winter Collection", Page 101, Mobile Chicane
